Low Sodium Snack List

Low sodium snacks can be a real challenge. Find ideas for snacks with less salt and support a heart healthy diet!
When looking for low-sodium, heart healthy snacks keep in mind that fruits and vegetables are naturally low in sodium while being high in a variety of vitamins and minerals that help to balance blood pressure. It is also a good idea to read nutrition labels on any pre-packaged snack item.
NOTE: Anything labeled as “low sodium” must have less than 140mg of sodium per serving. Ideally, a healthy snack should not contain more than 240mg sodium per serving.
▪️ Strawberry and peach slices + mozzarella kabobs
▪️ Greek Yogurt
▪️ Plain Hummus with baby carrots
▪️ Lightly salted rice cake with peanut butter and sprinkle of cinnamon
▪️ Hard boiled egg
▪️ Unsalted cashews with raisins
▪️ Apple slices with almond butter
▪️ Granola bar
▪️ Fruit and yogurt smoothie
